Aksaray Malaklisi is large breed of livestock (cattle) watch dog from Province of Aksaray in Turkey.It is believed that the Aksaray Malaklisi originated from a common ancestor with the Kangal.
This breed is only found in grey colour with large foreheads, drooping lips, large ears, short coat and a non-curled tails. The "malakli" in the breed’s name is said to be due to their droopy lips. Aksaray obeys commands of their master only and agressive towards other people.This breed is used to protect shepherds especially from wolves. A pair of Aksaray Malaklisi, a dog and bitch can protect approx 700-800 sheeps. This breed is not recognised as breed by any kennel club.
