The Alano Espanol is breed of large dog of Spain of 'Molossoid Type' ( breed of dog from Ancient Greece ). This Breed is used for hunting and guarding. It become previously used for the duration of Spanish bullfights so it is also called 'Spanish Bulldog' or Spanish Alano in English.
The Paws of this dog are much larger than other normal dogs. The front legs are stronger than back ones. They Look alike atheletics dog. White markings are present on neck, tail, snout, chest, at the tip of tail. White marking are not present to all dogs of this breed. The muzzle is short with a slightly concave lower jaw and has a very large, broad, black nose. It shouldn't have a flat snout or show any signs of prognathism . This Breed have good relationship with other dogs.

History
The Origin of Alano Espanol is unknown. One hypothesis is that it came from a dog brought to Spain during the 5th century migration period by the Alani, pastoralist from Central Europe. The first written reference to this variety in Spain can be found in the chapter of the 14th century Libro de la Montería de Alfonso XI ("Alfonso XI hunting book") in which hunting dogs called Alani. Dogs of this breed were used as war dogs of role in Eurasia before migration in the subjugation of Native American peoples, as well as in the capturing of slaves.
The Bullfighting ring with dogs of this type, was recorded by Francisco de Goya in his series on La Tauromaquia in 1816.The use of dogs on the Bullring was banned in 1880, So as the work they did changed, the number of races began to decline and by 1963 Alanos Espanol were thought to be extinct.
In the early 1990s, breeders were involved in the recovery process of a small endangered population and in 1995 the breeders organized into the national association of Breeders of Spanish Alano.
Alano Español was officially approved in 2004 by the Ministerio de Agricultura of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture Pescay Alimentación. It was added to list of native Spanish varieties, along with Rev. Galafiano, Ratnero Valenciano, Ratnero Malorkin and Kamemarolli but It is not recognized by the International Federation of Dogs and Dogs.

Alano Espanol is an ancient breed, and they were created to work in some very rough conditions. There are many tough races that are hard to get into good health. These Dogs rarely get sick due to their amazing immune system. This breed of dog requires a lot of exercise because they have such incredible endurance and muscularity. These dogs need space to run and exercise.

• 8-12 week old Alano Espanol puppies require 4 tablespoons daily.
• At 3-6 months of age, puppies of Arano Espanol are fed 3 meals in 24 hours.
• Feed puppies from 6 months to 1 year old twice daily.
They Should be fed premium quality of puppy food. Give fresh and clean water at all times.
Behavior
Alano is very dominant and energetic but very controllable by his/her master. They are very obedient and bark very little (ocassionally). They are also loyal and hard worker dog. Alano has good affectionate with family and also good with children.Perfect for living in the garden and sleeping outside, Alano can easily withstand hot and humid temperatures, droughts and humidity.
